Using COT Analysis
Read positioning summaries, inspect trader-group detail, and compare reports for an exact market.
How to read this analysis
Start with Positioning at a glance, then compare trader groups in each report. Read current position, historical position, and net change separately: none is a price forecast.
Trader-group detail starts with one group in focus, followed by Across trader groups for comparisons within each report. Select a linked group name or its Details to inspect that exact reading. Use Trader groups in the navigation to jump to this section.
What this means explains the selected reading. What to watch suggests a further check using price, later reports, or other groups in the same report. It is not an entry or exit instruction.
In Positioning at a glance, each filled label is followed by its trader group and report family in parentheses. The pair wraps when space is limited. Select the linked group name to open that exact reading’s evidence. Different signal types can feature different groups. Current net-long or net-short direction is separate from being near a historical high or low.
When every required comparison is evaluated without a signal, a single no-signal conclusion is followed by available facts for the group in focus. If those facts are missing, the summary shows Summary details unavailable instead of a no-signal conclusion; the trader-group evidence remains available. Limited comparisons remain distinct: one amber status introduces plain per-type limitations, with reasons in coverage details.
Compare trader groups opens the comparisons for the current report view. Any additional-reading count excludes the reading featured in the summary; overlapping reports are not independent confirmations.
